  Over the years, mainly at my not-so-super-secret other blog, I’ve frequently made the points that the vast majority of physicians are not scientists and, in fact, that many of them suffer from a severe case of Dunning-Kruger when it comes to science outside of biomedical sciences—or even biomedical sciences outside of their medical field of expertise.

Also, I have this theory that medical school is not actually hard, brain-wise, it’s just that people who go into medschool are actually just not that smart, save for like 1%, contrary to popular belief. I offer myself as evidence because if I was actually smart I would’ve taken astrophysics or something. But I’m not. I don’t even know how to do calculus.

  Quick update

  I have 3 dogs (Shih tzu, shiba inu, and corgi) and 1 cat (Persian) now.

  I graduated from Medical School (😎) early this year; Currently in Post-Graduate internship.

  It’s been 10 months since I’ve been trying to get mad brolic.

  I got a PS4 tho Overwatch just makes mad now. And I still only play old games: borderlands 2, Diablo 3 etc.

  I finally spent money on hearthstone this year, tho it’s not enough—will it ever be enough?

  I stopped collecting comics (coates’ black panther and marvel hip-hop covers) cause man, it never stops. Should I start collecting Funko Pops now tho?

  I’m still happily in a relaish! Booker T five time gif for the five years.

  Actually got really into the NBA again. I just wanna see the Warriors lose.

  I rode the board game wave. Tho I really do like playing boardgames, just not enough time or people to play with regularly. Also why I play hearthstone now.

  I finally got over the stupid bias against My Chemical Romance—mostly because of how good the Umbrella Academy was— (just Welcome to the Black parade tho) and Paramore I developed in high school and now regret all the time I deprived myself of their brilliance. I could’ve seen them live and I’m pretty sure those shows would’ve been great.

The reason this tragedy isn’t national news is because, surprise surprise, a similar (ish) shooting of a white teenager by a black cop is being handled by the authorities completely differently! It’s almost like we treat black and white people differently in our justice system!   So, nice try, you asshole, I know you were salivating over finding a case to compare this to Mike Brown, but, even with this timing, you’re not even fucking close to proving your racist “point.”

  Let’s take a moment here to look at a problem.

  What is happening with the two shootings in Ferguson and St. Louis is horrendous and it is getting much needed attention from the entire country. However while this is happening, the media makes it out to be about white cop vs. black teenager. I think that’s wrong and it’s race baiting. It is Cops vs. The People.

  Yeah, it’s usually the brashly, carefree attitude that cops have towards black communities that makes the news but it isn’t restricted towards one race.

  Take for instance this family who was raided by SWAT on a drug bust. They sent in flash bang grenades which critically injured an infant. They did not find drugs or any suspects that they were looking for. They are refusing to take responsibility. (link)

  Or earlier this year there was Luis Rodríguez who was beaten and suffocated to death during an arrest. Never mind that he was arrested for no reason (the cops weren’t even called on him). (link)

  That’s just two of the bigger cases. There are dozens of reports like this for ALL races. The mistake that is being made is that people see this as a race war. It isn’t. We need to unite and stand against the real enemy: Unaccountable Police.
